This will be the discussion forum for research and organization for the Slave Free Campus Campaign. This campaign was created out of the discussions of a Student Working Group that took place on April 9, 2010.
Attached to this post is the summary from the Student Working Group. Let me know if there are any questions or comments. I'm looking forward to planning and getting this campaign under way this Fall! Thanks!
As I was going through the minutes, I noticed the 3 teach-in sessions did not include house slaves. I was thinking it would be good to incorporate that in with the food and human trafficking part because it goes along with the idea of slave labor but should definitely be touched on in one of the 3 sessions. Also, is there a way incorporate the comparison between old and new slavery because I think its important to understand the difference. Let me know what you think.
All donations made to the PHRN will be held by Global Solutions Pittsburgh as restricted funds to be expended solely to support the Pittsburgh Human Rights Network.
